This past Thursday, July 14, 2022 our 0S3 Youth and Volunteers gather at Monte Carlo Trails & Bike park for a fun and educational “Upcycle Workshop” by Erick Meza from Sierra Club.

With a refreshing goodbye, the activities of this wonderful camp ended where more than 70 campers from tall over the Santa Cruz County, Arizona learned while having fun at the 2022 Summer Bike Camp run by 0S3 Movement Youth Leaders.

Campers of the 0S3 Summer Bike Camp, 2022 make a field trip to the International Wildlife Museum in Tucson, Arizona. This educational field trip was intended for campers to explore the fascinating world of natural and history. The International Wildlife Museum offers a close-up look at over 400 insects, spiders, birds, and mammals (including prehistoric). Travel from the equator to the poles learning about the unique relationships, adaptations, and habitats of the world’s diverse wildlife.

A magnificent first day of our traditional 0S3 Summer Bike Camp where kids of our community enjoy and learn in a healthy and safe way. On this first day campers met their coaches and their peers to later learn the parts of a bicycle and how to put on their helmet correctly. Later on, Officer Marina Duran of the Nogales, Arizona Police Department and Claudia Hernandez of the Santa Cruz County Drug Free Community Coalition gave a drug use prevention class accompanied by an educational and fun road and safety class.

This past Thursday, June 23rd the 0S3 Youth Leaders finalized their one week training and are ready to received around 70 kids from ages 5 to 18 at the 0S3 Summer Bike Camp 2022 to be heald at Fleischer Park in Nogales, Arizona.

Another great day out with the 0S3 Youth Leaders in preparation for the next summer bike camp which will be led by them. The 0S3 Youth Leaders received a mental health class for better decision making given by Teresa Sprig and Lizette Montoya of the Promoting Healthy Students Initiative of the office of the Santa Cruz County Superintendent of Schools, Alfredo I. Velásquez

The young leaders who will carry out the 2022 bicycle summer camp received classes for a first aid and CPR certification which was taught by members of the Nogales, Arizona fire department. This event took place on Tuesday, June 21 at the Santa Cruz County Provisional Community College District facilities. This educational certification is part of their preparation for the summer camp which will be in charge of these youth leaders with the supervision of 0S3 Movement Coaches and adult leaders.

Activity of the Youth Leaders who will carry out the Summer Bike Camp. The youth will learn the procedures, rules and regulations to carry out the program with the help and supervision of 0S3 Coaches and adult leaders. The youth are from around Santa Cruz County, ages 14-19.

This Tuesday, June 14, another activity of the Summer Bike Camp 2022 took place where we had the opportunity to interact with other youth group leaders from YADA and SEHEAC in a very original event. The event started with a hike at Monte Carlo Trails followed by a where mental health and mysticism disscussion. More than 50 people gathered as a family. Special Thanks to our presenters and collaborators from 0S3, SEHEC and Nogales Police Department.
